How to configure Microsoft Mail to work with your Fibersphere.net e-mail account
Step 1

Once Microsoft Mail is open click on the Tools menu and select Accounts from the menu.

Step 2

At the next screen click the Add button.

Step 3

From the Select Account Type menu pick E-mail Account.

Step 4

For Your Name enter what name you would like displayed when you send an e-mail (this can be as simple as your first name or a nickname to something as complex as your full name and title).

Step 5

At the Internet E-mail Address screen enter the address you created when you signed up for your e-mail account.

Step 6

From the Set up e-mail servers menu, select IMAP from the drop down, enter mail.fibersphere.net for the Incoming mail server, enter mail.fibersphere.net for the Outgoing e-mail server name, and check the box for Outgoing server requires authentication.

Step 7

At the Internet Mail Logon screen enter your e-mail username (which is the same as your e-mail address). Enter your password and check the box to Remember Password.

Step 8

Uncheck the box for Do not download my e-mail at this time.

Step 9

(Highly Recommended) After finishing the account setup wizard, click Tools > Accounts. Click to highlight your new mail.fibersphere.net account, and click Properties. Perform the following under the Advanced tab:

Server Port Numbers

- Outgoing: Check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Ensure that the text box shows 465.

- Incoming: Check This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL). Ensure that the text box shows 993.

Click OK when finished, then click Close on the Internet Accounts window.
